Prof. Didier Jourdan
Didier Jourdan is full Professor of Education at the University of Clermont Auvergne (France). He is the Chair Holder of the UNESCO Chair “Global Health and Education” and Head of the WHO Collaborating Centre for “Research in Education and Health” which are focused on knowledge production and sharing from an intersectoral perspective. His research activities focus on the impact of health promotion interventions, particularly with regard to health inequalities, implementation mechanisms, professional activity and ethical issues.
Didier Jourdan is former Director of the Prevention and Health Promotion Division of the French National Public Health Agency where he was responsible for the implementation of national policies and support for regional policies on prevention, health education, risk reduction and health promotion.
Involved in the main international networks in the field of health education and promotion, he plays an active role in international collaborations centered on research in health promotion and health education.
