By plane

Lodz is located in the center of Poland, so You can easily get here from any other airport: Warsaw – 1,5 h, Katowice – 2 h, Poznan – 2,5 h, Cracow – 3 h.
By train
Lodz offers direct rail connections with major Polish cities, including Warsaw (20 direct connections a day on working days, 14 – at weekends, the trip lasts about 1,5 h). The current timetable is available here. The nearest station is Lodz Widzew.
By car
Łódź is located at the intersection of the A1 motorway, leading from the north to the south of Poland, and the A2 motorway, leading from the west to the east through Poznań and Warsaw. It’s connected with Wrocław by the S8 expressway. Such a developed road network makes the city accessible for car communication. Estimated time of a car trip from Warsaw is about 1,5 h, from Gdańsk –– about 3 h, from Cracow –– about 3,5 h and from Wrocław –– just over 2 hours.
Public transport
You can travel around the city using numerous means of transport such as a taxi, rickshaw, city bike or public transport which includes trams and buses (also night lines). How to get to Łódź from Warsaw?
Łódź (Lodz) is a city located in the central part of Poland. It is approximately 135 kilometers south-west of Warsaw. The most convenient way to get to Łódź if you arrive at Warsaw Chopin Airport is to take a train, intercity bus or taxi.

Warsaw Chopin Airport is very well connected to the city center, where the Central Station is located. From Warsaw Chopin Airport to the very center of the capital is about 8 km in the northeast direction.

The fare from the airport to the centre of Łódź is 800 PL (approximately 190 euro). If you plan to travel by taxi directly to Łódź, such a service should be booked by phone or email a few days before your planned arrival.
The fare from the airport to the centre of Warsaw is approximately PLN 50 (12 euro).
