Electricity
The electricity voltage and frequency conditions in Poland are the same as in most European countries (230 V, 50 Hz). However there are two types of sockets in Poland –– type C (plug without the grounding pin hole with two round pins) and type E (plug with two round pins and a hole for the grounding pin).
Currency
The Polish currency is the Polish Zloty (PLN), which consists of 100 groszy. The following coins are used: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 groszy, as well as 1, 2 and 5 zloty, and the banknotes with face value of: 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 zloty.
For one American dollar you have to pay on average 4,2 PLN and for one euro about 4,5 PLN. Current exchange rates are available on the National Bank of Poland’s website.
